DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for assisting the Maryland Transportation Authority Police Quartermaster Unit with receiving, storing and issuing of police equipment, supplies and materials. The position will also assist with the annual inventory. For the current vacancy employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Duties include but are not limited to: Initiates requisitions; expedites outstanding orders; maintains and records inventory transactions; and maintains a database documenting property and equipment. The current vacancy exists at the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) at the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel. The eligible list produced from this recruitment will be utilized for this position only. Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Two years experience in the receiving, storing, issuance, purchase or requisition of equipment, materials, and parts and supplies. One year of this experience must have included using a database to track materials, supplies or equipment.**

Licenses, Registrations and Certificates:
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties must be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
