Settlement Analyst II
The Settlements Analyst will be responsible for the creation of manual, Endur, prepay, regular, and plan bill invoices that include accurate recording of commodity sales, fees, fuel, storage, billable plans, transport pass-thrus, etc. by target date of the 15th each month. Additional responsibility includes the research, analysis and reporting of revenues, cost of sales and related activities.

• Process and account for natural gas invoices for counterparties monthly
• Assist in development and implementation of appropriate processes and internal controls supporting gross margin
• Reconciles /clears outstanding Accounts Receivable balances; sometimes coordinated with Customer Service Analysts, Credit Analysts and Credit/Cash Analyst
• Conducts month end close by assisting Actualization Accountant with reconciling pipes on anything related to Accounts Receivable
• Ensures that financial settlement/ demand fees are booked to correct account, and confirms validations/checklists to be included in close support book
• Explains prior period adjustment balances prior period adjustments made during month. Explains estimate vs. actual differences in invoicing
• Performs balance sheet reconciliations and other close duties as required
• Assist in responding to internal and external audit requests
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Educational/Experience Level :
• Requires Bachelor
’s degree in Accounting or a related field and up to 3 years related experience in a natural gas environment Communication Skills :
• Requires the strong written and verbal communications skills with internal and/or external customers to obtain and/or provide basic types of factual information Numeric Skills :
• Requires strong analytical skills, proficiency, accuracy and completeness, detail oriented Computer Skills :
• Requires strong excel skills (pivots, V lookups, if statements, etc) and other basic computer skills in order to utilize various software applications for developing documents, reports and graphics
• Openlink’s Endur knowledge a plus
Working Conditions :
• Works in an office environment and daily sitting, standing and bending
• Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, lifting*, reaching, grasping, twisting and turning *Lifting maximum of 20#s
