Settlement Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Primary responsibility for managing specific tasks within Settlement Operations or Title/Recording/Accounting Operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establish and monitor processes between Title, Recording,
  • Accounting, Mortgage, Sales and/or Construction. Develop best
  • practices and procedures to ensure compliance with operations
  • standards
  • Oversee internal Title Company audit committee to ensure
  • Title/Settlement functions are in compliance with banking and
  • regulatory requirements. Implement corrective actions as needed
  • Research and track customer satisfaction. Serve as point of
  • contact for customer questions and concerns as needed
  • Ensure proper handling of all funds and closings. Review daily
  • banking activity
  • Prepare and adhere to departmental budget
  • Market brand to outside realtors, builders, and mortgage
  • companies
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION :
Minimum Bachelors Degree in Business or equivalent
  • Notary Public preferred (required in some states)
  • Escrow Officer license may be required
  • REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

    (work related, tools/equipment, software, etc)
    • Related Functional Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years related experience
    • Time in position: Minimum of 2 years at a supervisory level
    • Specializes in RESPA with understanding of company's
    • underwriting guidelines
    • Understanding of title and settlement rules and regulations
    • Familiarity with Title company software
    • Effective communication, presentation, and organization skills
    • Knowledge of real estate law and title escrow curative procedures
    • Knowledge of abstracting and examining preferred
