Job Description:
Position Objective: The Web Application Developer shall
provide application development and technology support
services to ensure the effective operations of program
office systems, databases, and web sites.
Essential Functions: The Web Application Developer will
be responsible for, but not necessarily limited to,
performing the following duties: application
development, system analysis, design, and computer
system administration and management. This work will
include but not be limited to database generation and
management. The Web Application Developer will directly
support the client 2010 SharePoint system environment
and work closely with SharePoint architects, designers
and hosting personnel in the build out, operations and
maintenance of the integrated client Portals and sites.
The Web Application Developer will perform operation and
maintenance duties that will include assisting with
Sharepoint list and forms development, data migration,
help desk support and end user training. Other position
requirements in summary are as follows.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Technical Lead for guidance in
programming and development practices for efficient
and effective software development.
  • Work with the Technical Lead to gain an
understanding of system requirements to determine
optimal program design and implementation.
  • Interact with software development team members to
design, code, test, implement, and maintain Web
sites and Web applications using software
development best practices.
  • Write system design and application code

  • Experience with SharePoint 2010, Microsoft Office
SharePoint Server 2007 and MCMS 2002 is required.
  • Minimum of 6 years practical (hands-on) experience
with Web application development using ASP.Net, C#
and/or VB.Net and SQL Server. Experience with
applications using Oracle is a plus.
  • Minimum of 6 years practical (hands-on) experience
with Visual Studio, Visual SourceSafe and the .Net
  • Minimum of 2 years practical (hands-on) experience
with writing SQL Server stored procedures and
functions using T-SQL.

Job Experience Requirements:
  • Experience in configuring Internet Information
Services (IIS).
  • Experience in Web site development using HTML, CSS
and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Web Services and XML is required.
  • Ability to resolve cross browser and cross platform
compatibility issues.
  • Ability to resolve Section 508 accessibility
  • Demonstrated strong ability in troubleshooting and
problem solving.
  • Experience with good security practices in
application development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a
fast-paced environment under deadline pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing
  • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with
various teams.
  • Ability to communicate well and work in a
collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum

Desired Job Experience:
  • Experience with Microsoft Project Server is
  • Experience with Federal government information
technology centers and their processes and
requirements is desired.
  • Experience with Team Foundation Server, Windows
Workflow Foundation, ASP.Net Site Navigation
Providers and ASP.Net Web Parts is desired.
  • Experience with identity management technologies
like SiteMinder Single Sign On and Active Directory
Federation Services is desired.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
