Job Description
Seeking an experienced SharePoint Developer and experienced Reports Writer for a large SDLC project. As a member of a diverse and highly successful project team, the SharePoint developer/reports writer will be responsible for supporting the entire SDLC with a focus on designing and developing SharePoint business applications using Agile methods, tools and techniques. Position is for full time employment and based at our client's site in downtown DC (Near Verizon Center). Requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance . Responsibilities include:

o Develop and support custom applications built on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server Moss Platform.

o Design and develop reporting solutions for SharePoint applications.

o Interface with analysts, architects, programmers and the customer. We are currently working on multiple initiatives to develop business solutions using SharePoint 2010 framework.

o Work with program management team to develop overall scope and implementation requirements

o Advise OCIO on SharePoint best practices, standards, governance, and information management.

o Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing effective procedures and systems requirements that meet business requirements Work with customers at all levels of technical ability by assisting them in the customization, and definition of a SharePoint 2010 site.

o Coordinate with OJP security and operations during installation and deployment of hardware and software on the development, test and production environment

o Provide SharePoint guidance on SharePoint best practices

o Work effectively within a government led partnership between Federal and Contractor staff.

o Strong collaboration and team working skills. Ability to work well with others in a fast paced and positive team environment.
Work Experience
5-9 yrs experience requirement.

o Solid Reporting skills to include the design and development of reporting solutions for SP applications.

o Experience and successful track record working with reporting tools such as: SP Report Writer, PP, SRSS, BC, Power Pivot.

o Solid experience in SharePoint and .Net development.

o Development skills in VB.NET, XML, SQL Server, C# and other .NET programming languages.

o Ability to engage, set expectations & influence clients and is a strong team player.

o Experience with developing customized workflows and have an understanding of Active Directory/LDAP capabilities.

o Experience working with software development life cycle, widely accepted development methodologies (e.g. ISO 9001) and client requirements.

o Familiarity with 3rd Party solutions (i.e. Webparts) that integrate with SharePoint with emphasis on Business Intelligence, KPI, Records Management, Project Management, and Excel Services.

Required Skills:

o SharePoint implementation and migration experience to include administration and operations.

o Experienced in analysis and definition of an organization's information architecture and the design of taxonomies for customer organizations.

o 3 + years of work experience in a large systems environment. (500+ end users / 10+ servers).

o Hands on experience working with Microsoft's 2010 Office SharePoint Server platform and supporting technologies.

o Ability to work with business user to provide assessment of developed system in respect to the user's needs. Also provide training and resolve issues and questions.

o Experience working with application design principles and product configurations (i.e. SharePoint Central Administrator).

o Experience working with (Personal Computers, Application Servers) virtualized servers, scheduling software, and other related technologies.

Education and Training
Degree in Computer Science or related area is preferred.
