SharePoint Farm Administrator:
This position is part of the team responsible for implementing, operating and maintaining Chevron's Global SharePoint Service (GSPS) and related technologies (Tzunami, ForeFront Anti-virus, etc). The position may also be involved in providing support for Content Management-wide OE initiatives or other products supported within the Content Management organization.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
OPERATIONAL: Delivers operational support processes and business solutions for Information Management systems. Works with supplier groups within ITC such as Commercial Services, server, storage, database and active directory as well as partners and technology suppliers outside of Chevron. Works with security and information protection group to ensure that products remain fully compliant. Interfaces with Information Technology Service Management team in areas of capacity, availability, problem, change, release and configuration management. Understands how products support business functions to ensure that their requirements are satisfied. Operates within service level agreements. Understands and executes the team’s incident, change, release and configuration management processes.
FUNCTIONAL: Understands the functional direction of the Information Management systems within the team’s scope. Operates within team priorities and budgets. Deploys incident free releases, updates and hot fixes into production. Works with other IT function groups for operational support. Works with the Service Desk and business partners to resolve incidents. Participates in the development of recommended practices that are shared and leveraged across teams including OE, project prioritization, project management and asset lifecycle activities. Prioritizes and aligns work tasks balancing team and functional goals. Stays abreast of the Information Management needs of Chevron and provides these as input in Function planning.
