The client is a world leader in the design, manufacturing, and servicing of aircraft engines, space propulsion systems, and industrial gas turbines.
The client is moving their unstructured and uncontrolled network content to the SharePoint 2010 platform to provide collaboration and ensure security.
Skills/Experience
Experience with migrating content from Lotus Notes to SharePoint 2010
Assign tasks, monitor and lead offshore development team
Experience of working in SharePoint 2010, WebParts, ASP.NET, WCF/ASMX + SQL Server, knowledge of queries/stored procedures, writing optimized code and usage of indexes and clean coding skills.
Lead the activities regarding standards, best practices, and strategic framework for SharePoint related services.
Experience with relational databases (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, etc.)
Educate Client staff as to the benefits of SharePoint and the best use of it to improve business processes, communication, and document management.
Knowledge of design patterns and refactoring techniques.
Work with Site Owners to ensure content is fresh, updated, and correct
Partner with Site Owners to improve deliverables (including layout, functionality, phrasing, and formatting)
Assist Site Owners in determining optimal solutions for site development, workflows, dashboards, etc
Develop/identify SharePoint training options for end-users and site owners.
Develop and implement SharePoint policies and procedures and document best practices for the Client.
Expertise in Client Relationship Management, Client Analytics
Technical writing skills.
Be a single point of contact between client and end-users
Manage and prioritize the Requirements after consulting with the client
