Hollander Home Fashions is an international manufacturer of textile products selling to major retailers since 1953, currently operating plants in Georgia, California, Pennsylvania, Texas, Illinois and Toronto, Canada, as well as a joint venture in China. Hollander’s product lines include a broad range of bed pillows, comforters, and mattress foundations, which are filled with synthetic fibers as well as feathers and down. Products are manufactured under our own label, under retailer’s store brands as well as designer brands.

SUMMARY: Provide leadership to ensure that the plant operates efficiently while delivering quality products and superior service in a safe and challenging work environment and to support the Plant Manager to ensure operational excellence in the following categories: Execution, Financial Control, Innovation, Environmental and Leadership.

Also, ensure compliance with all company policies, labor contracts as well as any other laws.


Quarterly Plant Evaluations - Each quarter there will be an evaluation covering 5 critical performance metrics including Execution, Financial Control, Innovation, Environmental and Leadership. These metrics are used to measure the overall performance of the plant and it management team.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Support plant objectives in alignment with corporate strategies and business initiatives. Improve processes or operational enhancements while maintaining quality standards. Oversee production, safety, inventory, maintenance and shipping for the 2 nd Shift to ensure products are manufactured safely and efficiently with attention to delivering high quality products and delivering on time. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Ensure that quarterly performance indicators are driven through the Plant and that associates are given the leadership and the tools to meet Company performance expectations. Collaborate with human resources to ensure that the practices foster attracting, motivating and retaining a high-performing diverse workforce. Provide leadership to ensure that safety and company policies are adhered to consistently and effectively. Provide leadership to ensure positive associate relations including ensuring Union grievances and associate complaints are handled in a timely and effective manner. Coach and provide input to supervisors to provide quality, timely and consistent performance management reviews as well as support ongoing performance recognition as well as disciplinary action as needed. Oversee Plant projects as needed Other duties as required SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct reports include 2 nd Shift Production Supervisors; 2 nd Shift Shipping Supervisor; 2 nd Shift Maintenance personnel and 2 nd Shift Quality Personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor Degree preferably in Engineering, Business Management, Production Operations or related field of study. 7 years plus plant manufacturing experience including plant management experience Experience with lean manufacturing processes and best practices in safety Strong understanding of manufacturing cost controls, inventory management, HR practices, quality function, and manufacturing best practices. Excellent interpersonal, team building, organizational and oral and written communication skills. Ability to work in a hands on environment and work well independently PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Most of the time is spent sitting or standing in the same location or walking in the plant or there may be a need to stoop regularly or move/lift light material or equipment (typically less than 8 pounds).
