DESCRIPTION

The Loparex Eden facility is currently seeking a Shift Supervisor. Responsible for the management and coordination of all aspects of manufacturing for Loparex, Inc. Eden. This includes safety and quality requirements, manufacturing staffing of all functional areas and equipment, employee-management relations. Equipment and facilities maintenance, cost control, operations planning and meeting customer needs.

Positions Supervised:
Process Technicians in all functional areas assigned to shift: extrusion, silicone coating, printing, finishing/shipping/receiving, and quality control lab. Team managers have direct responsibility for maintenance and E&I Technicians during the night and week-end shifts.

DUTIES

Coordinate operations in a manner to meet customer needs while insuring the safety, health, and security of employees.

  • Assist in the management of employee relations.
  • Manage manufacturing cost controls; actively work to control and reduce waste at all processes.
  • Promote corporate and division strategies with regard to growth, employee involvement, and quality improvement.
  • Coordinate the daily staffing of process functions and equipment to insure the best possible utilization of resources to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Review and plan for each week's upcoming production schedule by ensuring all technical information is available and provided to the production floor.
  • Evaluate and propose modifications on equipment, safety, products, and processes within the Eden facility.
  • Assist Corporate R & D in the development of new products by providing supervision and resources during production of trials.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance and E&I in the repair of equipment.
  • Serve as a resource for teams and individuals on shift.
  • Insure adequate communication and coordinate activities between team and all other groups of the company.
  • Support and enforce company policies and procedures
  • Maintains documentation for disciplinary actions and attendance records; completes evaluations and provides feedback on a quarterly basis to all reports.
  • Review and verify production job jackets for accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Maintains the integrity of transactions in the manufacturing execution system and production transactions in the business system.
  • Coordinates activities between and involve other departments as necessary.
  • Attend scheduled meetings for review and planning as required.
  • Visit customers as required for complaint resolution and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Actively participate on Safety and Quality Teams as requested.
  • Coordinate operations to meet quality requirements of both internal and external customers.
  • Responsible for the production of a quality product by performing job functions effectively and making suggestions to improve the manufacturing, staffing and personnel development processes.
  • Responsible for thoroughly understanding product quality expectations and contributors to product quality.
  • Cross train Technicians to allow full flexibility.
  • Coordinate training for existing and new equipment.
  • Oversee and maintain the integrity of the plant training program to include requalification requirements.
