Shift Supervisors are responsible for the supervision of the plant technicians and working closely with them to reduce or eliminate down time. The Shift Supervisor strives for maximum efficiency in plant operations and supports operations through problem solving, adaptation, and working with other departments to correct process problems. They are also accountable for ensuring all products manufactured meet established specifications.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES
To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Manufacturing production background experience is required and operational background in ethanol production is a plus.
Three (3) or more years of previous supervision or leadership role is preferred.
Knowledge in Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications.
Excellent organizational skills, communications skills, the ability to multi-task, and most importantly, the ability to work well in a team.
