Candidate will be a member of the Combat Systems Readiness Assist Team (CSRAT) that provides classroom and deck plate training to U.S. Navy sailors in cruiser, and destroyer ship classes.

Individual will mentor and train sailors in improving operator and maintainer expertise in AEGIS combat systems and weapons areas such as SPY-1 operations, Command and Decision, and Weapon Control Systems (air/surface/undersea/strike warfare) material requirements, Electronic Maintenance, Systems Testing/operations, and Communications aboard ship.

Training efforts will include classroom and ship visit training events for up to three weeks at a time, and may include overseas travel.

Training will be conducted in primary ship homeports and includes underway time.

Trainers will work with specifically identified ships in order to improve overall crew knowledge and subsequent ship readiness.
