      Description
      Position to support various DoD contracts. Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties;
      may work out of a central warehouse. Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting. Follows
      shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements. Receives incoming materials
      or prepares materials for shipment. (Un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies,
      parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated
      identifications; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports
      materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.

      Qualifications
      Basic Qualifications:
      Typical Minimum Education / Experience: High School and 2 years additional education and/or experience

      Minimum 2 years experience in a shipping/receiving or
      logistics role. Applicant must be familiar with military and
      commercial transportation/distribution, freight tendering,
      standards for packing/packaging, DD Form 1149, MILSTD-
      129, DoD 4500.9_, processes for domestic and
      overseas shipments, to include IATA and ITAR/Export
      compliance.

      Preferred Qualifications:
      Should be well organized, effective working independently
      as well as in a group environment, able to handle
      multiple assignments, and possess good oral and written
      communication skills. Should be detail-oriented and
      possess a strong understanding of commitment to overall
      mission. Should possess the ability to learn and follow
      established processes, procedures, and requirements.
