Work with various levels of management to provide reports that meet the needs of the District. Ensure coordination on movement, repair and maintenance of all mobile and stationary equipment. Establish lines of communication among all locations to assure proper distribution of equipment within the area in order to obtain maximum efficiency. Provide Safety leadership by attending/conducting meetings, ensuring appropriate safety discussions are held, and mentoring employees. Complete annual reviews and ensure weekly timecards are processed. Prepare weekly shop invoicing using JDE Maintenance processes. Ensure that all purchasing procedures are completed on a timely basis. Develop annual budget and manage costs within that budget. Work with Plant Managers to help them develop budgets for repairs and mobilization. Coordinate mobile repairs, all mobile rebuilds and certain plant repairs (crushers, motor replacements, etc.) with District Plant Managers. Utilize AutoCAD to develop any drawings needed for minor modifications to plants and/or portable conveyors and equipment. Work with Management on developing repair and capital budgets for future plant modifications, portable conveyor upgrades/replacements, portable processing plant upgrades/replacements, etc.

  • BachelorÂ’s degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ yearsÂ’ shop management experience
  • Solid understanding of aggregate processing and equipment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Possess good people skills and be capable of developing and maintaining positive relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and AutoCAD
