Supports the closing of Short Sale loans. Supervises the execution of transactions and responses to customer, investor, or 3rd party related inquires. First level of management, supervising day to day activities of a team of Servicing associates. Has an in-depth understanding of governing rules and regulations and the implication of processes on other groups within the department and other divisions in the firm. Typically will have more than 5-7 years experience with a working knowledge of the mortgage business with 1-3 years as manager.
Short Sale Team Mgr - Legacy Asset Servicing The Mortgage Servicing Team Manager position manages a team of Short Sale associates supporting our customers through their Short Sale process. The primary responsibilities for this position include:
Managing a team of 10-15 Short Sale associates work in a high volume, deadline or production driven environment
Handling complex customer escalations (via phone and correspondence).
Providing daily coaching and feedback to their associates.
Conducting monthly associate call monitoring and account auditing.
Compiling team and departmental performance related reports using Word and Excel.
Participating in management meetings/conference calls.
Conducting employment interviews.
Scheduling and monitoring team workflow.
Team Managers ensure compliance with Federal Laws and Company guidelines in order to minimize losses and legal concerns.
REQUIRED SKILLS - must have these to be minimally qualified
Demonstrated leadership experience of 1 to 2 years.
Superior people and leadership skills.
Proven ability to coach, train, evaluate and counsel staff.
Must be results/goal driven and a team player able to lead associates to perform.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Solid computer skills and web navigation including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
Interpersonal effectiveness with ability to build and maintain relationships.
Attention to detail, strong organization and time management is a must.
Adaptability to manage multiple tasks/projects within deadline and budget constraints
Mortgage experience preferred.
Experience working in an Loan Loss Mitigation/Mtg. Default Servicing environment.
Ability to embrace change with a positive approach.
Solid mathematical and analytical skills.
Experience using Six Sigma or similar process improvement tools.
