Child Care Provider
A. MAJOR FUNCTION:
Under the supervision of the Office Director, and CPST Supervisor participate in development of day-care center and provide general supervision and management of children under our care.
B. MAJOR SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct and clear communication with parent or guardian and provider of service, and have proper releases signed.
Direct supervision of children including playroom activities, assisting with snacks, general housekeeping duties, keeping accurate records, daily cleaning and disinfecting of toys and play areas
If working with infants, maintain daily activities with infants include changing diapers, feeding, playing, reading and rocking infants.
When necessary complete all documentation of accidents, first aid treatment given, and/or activity logs
Maintain client charting in accordance with Medicaid, JCAHO, ODADAS, ODMH, CARF and professional standards.
Participate in all assigned staff meetings and staff development programs.
Maintain clear communication with referents or designated liaison person.
Maintain proper clients rights and confidentially.
Participate in all Quality Assurance and Utilization Review activities.
Participate in miscellaneous duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Assist in community outreach.
C. RESPONSIBILITY AND DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY:
Responsible to make decisions concerning safety and care of children enrolled in our day care program. All activities are to be conducted with the consultation and assistance of the Office Director and CPST Supervisor. At all times treatment activities should be performed as a team function.
D. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma
Undergraduate Degree in social services field preferred
Able to lift, hold or carry any enrolled child who weights up to 35 pounds
Good driving record.
