Qualifications for Site Director: • Must possess a current Child Development Supervisor Permit • Strong background and demonstrated success with running high quality preschool and school-age programs • Experience managing, marketing, including budgeting and financial planning in a preschool and after school program • Proven leadership skills, including the ability to motivate, inspire and influence others within the organization • Ensure the highest quality program for children, setting center-specific goals to achieve and maintain program quality. • Knowledge of developmental stages for preschool and school-age children • Responsible for scheduling staff in accordance with program needs. • May be required to be in ratio as needed. • Software knowledge in QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Publisher, and Excel • Conducts monthly site meetings • Meets the individual needs and interests of children in relation to their cultural, social and economic background • Work with team to plan lessons and activities appropriate for developmental levels of children in the program; include and encourage creative input from children and youth and involve them in fun, engaging activities • Responsible for the arrangement, appearance and cleanliness of the classroom environment. • Plan and conduct parent conferences

  • Must have knowledge of and experience with the Desired Results process and ECERS/SACERS. • Must have knowledge of and experience with High/Scope philosophy and developmentally appropriate practice. • Flexible, self-motivated and a team player • Must possess excellent customer service skills. • Establish a non-punitive method of classroom discipline, seeking positive rather than negative methods to correct student behavior • Flexibility, accountability, reliability, professionalism and the ability to collaborate with parents, co-workers and the community • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing • Dedicated and responsible work ethic • Attend yearly mandatory in-service training, meetings and other professional growth activities • Must be in good health, able to life 30 pounds chest high • Must be able to walk, squat, bend and stand; ability to move freely to supervise and engage in outdoor and indoor activities with children • CPR and First Aid Certified • Attain and pass Health Screening and TB test • Must pass Department of Justice / FBI fingerprint tests
