The Site Safety Supervisor will be responsible for implementing the RES Safety Management System on their project.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor safety performance of the project and ensure company procedures and regulatory requirements are met and exceeded. Complete weekly Safety Inspections and periodic compliance audits.
  • Maintain and develop the safety program file for each project.
  • Ensure that suitable risk assessments are developed for all operations.
  • Facilitate prompt close-out of all corrective action plans.
  • Complete site safety orientation for all new hires.
  • Lead accident and near miss investigations. Ensure that all accidents and near misses are documented and reported according to the RES accident prevention and reporting program.
  • Take minutes at the weekly safety meeting; lead site safety meetings as needed.
  • Hazard identification related to site work for RES staff, subcontractors, or the general public.
  • Immediately stop any work where there is an imminent danger.
  • Coordinate matters of safety, health and welfare to all levels of management.
  • Produce safety reports (daily/weekly/monthly) as required by the Project Manager.
  • Maintain the required RES and regulatory postings on site.
  • Ensure that sufficient protective clothing and equipment is available and used as necessary.


  • Requirements:

  • Minimum three - five years of proven utility, industrial, OR electrical experience. A proven track record of implementing a Safety Program on construction projects.
  • Expertise and the necessary skills to interface with the client.
  • Ability/flexibility to travel for short and long term periods. Must live near the project for approximately nine - twelve months. Eligibility for per diem based on company criteria.
  • Valid driver license. A Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check is required as part of background investigation.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.


  • Education:

    Bachelor's or Associates Degree. Recognized safety related training and certifications - OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.
