The Small Business Sales Specialist (SBSS) is responsible for promoting and driving sales to local small businesses through Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram dealerships with the primary focus on commercial vehicles and products. This position will cover a territory up to a 300 mile radius within Philadelphia, PA and travel will be required approximately 85% of the time. The qualified candidate will centralize their home office close to this metro market and ideally will live in the assigned territory - preferably in Philadelphia, PA or in the metropolitan area.
The SBSS will obtain dealership advertising and market commitments, as well as manage commercial advertising co-op with the cooperation of the Regional Sales Manager. The SBSS will prepare and present reports/metrics for dealers and the dealerships key managers, which show commercial sales, profit and opportunities. Secure dealership commitments to invest in people, process and training in all departments. Accompany dealer sales personnel at outside sales calls to local small businesses. Manage operational dealer and business center contacts for issues related to commercial vehicles sales. Manage and provide consultation on the dealerships inventory. Insure availability for the right commercial product to the right local users, and serve as the primary local contact for commercial pools. Incorporate pools into commercial sales processes, including facilitating dealer relationships, developing stocking and consignment programs, and enhancing visibility of appropriate work upfit vehicles for specific market. Work with dealers at grass root trade shows, establish local truck clubs and hold quarterly meetings within region of responsibility. Ensure commercial sales are reported correctly by performing audits and correcting where appropriate. This position requires travel within the assigned territory approximately 85% of the time. The ideal candidate will live in the assigned territory, preferably in Philadelphia, PA or in the area.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited university
Minimum of 5+ years of business-to-business sales experience
Minimum of 3+ years' experience within an automotive environment
A strong background with outside sales
Master of Business Administration
5+ years of experience in dealership commercial sales processes is preferred
Commercial vehicle product knowledge
Experience working with bailment pools and truck upfitters
OEM field experience with focus on dealership consultation, specifically related to commercial market segment and products
