Job Summary/Essential Functions
Eastern Washington University is seeking a team-oriented individual to join our Dining Services team as a Snack Bar Lead- Espresso. This is a 10-month position with the possibility of picking up shifts during the cyclic time off. This position will direct the operation of an espresso location, concession stand, or small dining area and will prepare food, provide excellent customer service, and participate in the maintenance and sanitation of the location.

Conditions of Employment
: -- This position requires a valid food handler's permit and a valid driver's license.
-- The successful candidate must be able to work weekends and evenings.
-- The successful candidate must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
-- The successful candidate must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
-- This position, during the course of university employment, will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value, as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 18. Successful applicant will be required to pass a background check.
This is an agency shop position.

Term of Appointment
: 10 month
: This is a 10 month cyclic appointment with an alternate schedule. Typical work week will consust of five days per week, eight hours per day, with two consecutive days off. Weekends and evenings may be part of the work week schedule.
-- Possession of a food handler's permit
-- Two years of full-time experience in food service work in a high volume customer service location, including one year of experience as a lead
Specific Position Requirements:
-- High school diploma or GED
-- Experience receiving cash payments and processing credit/debit sales through the use of computerized POS equipment and cash registers.
--Valid Driver's License
Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency and/or diversity.
Barista experience in a high volume coffee stand operation
Concessions experience in a high volume operation
