We are looking for a talented, intelligent, passionate and driven Social Media Coordinator to join our team. Under general direction and supervision, he/she will be responsible for managing the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center social platforms. The incumbent must have at least 2-3 years industry experience in creating editorial content, managing social media marketing programs, driving revenue via ticket sales, sponsorship and merchandise sales, and increasing the size of social audiences across platforms. Sports/entertainment/brand experience preferred. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, creative idea generator and digital marketing and sports/entertainment enthusiast. He/she must excel in a fast paced environment, and be comfortable working outside of traditional business hours for Brooklyn Nets games and Barclays Center events.
This position will be responsible for creating relevant dynamic content and engaging with fans using the appropriate brand voice on a day-to-day basis, managing the overall content calendar, creating graphics and images for social media and identifying and engaging with influencers.

Develop and implement marketing programs across all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine, Pinterest, YouTube, FourSquare and more); •
Drive revenue via social media platforms (ticket sales, merchandise sales and sponsorship); •
Manage day-to-day communications across team/arena social media channels utilizing team/brand voice; •
Create and manage social media content calendars; •
Create graphics, images and short videos for social media posts; •
Work with multiple departments to support the brand and varied timely initiatives on social media; •
Work Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center games and events and provide real-time social media updates; •
Keep apprised of all relevant client, industry and technology developments; •
Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports and analytics on all social media platforms; •
Identify and interpret social media trends for brand benefit; •
Additional duties in support of department objectives as assigned.

A. Education and/or Experience •
Bachelors degree (a related field is preferred); and •
At least 2-3 years experience in social media/marketing (sports/entertainment/brand experience preferred).

B. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities •
Must be extremely familiar with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine, etc.) •
Must be familiar with social reporting tools- specifically, the ability to pull reports, analyze data, and leverage the information to drive subsequent campaigns; •
Must have strong copywriting skills; •
Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint •
Experience with Photoshop is preferred; •
Must possess a maniacal attention to detail; •
Must have with the ability to manage one’s own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectives; •
Must have strong communication skills: must be comfortable with engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills; •
Must be able to identify problems, their sources, and their potential solutions while continuing to successfully conduct day-to-day operations without interruption; •
Must have good decision-making skills, demonstrate sound judgment and interpersonal skills; •
Must have the ability to maintain an impeccable professional appearance; •
Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use upmost discretion when privy to sensitive information; •
Must have truly outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills; •
Must be self-directed and able to work independently, while also flourishing in a fast-paced collaborative team environment; and •
Must be flexible & a reliable team player, both within own department and within the company as a whole.

A. Travel Requirements: May be required to travel on rare occasions (less than 5% travel; trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.

B. Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to lift up to 10 pounds

C. Work Environment: The incumbent primarily works in an office environment, however, is expected to attend Brooklyn Nets games and Barclays Center events taking place on weekends and holidays.
