Goal To build and grow SKECHERS communities to enable customers/fans to virally promote SKECHERS by utilizing:
  • social media channels
  • SKECHERS social pages
  • www.skechers.com community
  • shoe reviews online
  • photo and video postings
  • blogs & reviews
  • celebrities/athletes/running professionals
The goal is to enroll SKECHERS fan as “friends” or members of the SKECHERS communities for continual dialog. The ultimate branding goal is to capture the SKECHERS prospect via a sale and as a member of the Elite club. Once a SKECHERS customer/member via the site or social community, the goal is to re-engage, enroll and enable SKECHERS customers/fans to talk about what they love about SKECHERS shoes via video, photo and comments.

Duties and Responsibilities
The goals are to:
  • present the brand online where relevant
  • create a community central hub
  • feed relevant content to the hub from the major social channels
  • allow others to find the content; make it searchable
  • target people who matter: consumers who are looking for footwear, and making decisions based on our offering
  • target celebrities and athletes who will help drive awareness of brand
The social media coordinator will collaborate with the appropriate teams in the PR, Retail, Performance, Sales, and Marketing departments to promote the brand message and customer messages that will resonate with your target audience, key influencers and the media.

Daily activities include:
  • Creating content for all social sites: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube and Google+ as well as blogs
  • Managing Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube and Google+ daily updates (may include weekends)
  • Editing web content, email, digital media communications
  • Creating a company calendar of events social should support to create maximum awareness
  • Supporting PR in the management of blogs and communities
  • Supporting promotional partners in web site
  • Social media monitoring and analysis
  • Working with video department to edit video content for social sites
  • Monitor shoe reviews
  • Monitoring SKECHERS international social sites and streaming content to our international subsidiaries and partners
  • Stay on top of social and digital media trends and viral technology to easily enable customers to engage about the brand. Recommend changes
  • Monitor and help resolve customer inquiries and issues on all social media channels
  • Facilitate graphics projects requests for all SKECHERS social media accounts
