Spring 2013 Social Media Internship
Are you a student focusing in online communications or marketing? The Office of Communications is currently seeking an intern to work with our Online Strategy team to assist in social media. Qualified candidates will have a strongly demonstrated ability to use Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and YouTube. They should also be familiar with the terminology and types of engagement for each network. Experience with social measurement tools, search engine optimization, social advertising, Google Analytics, or Omniture Site Catalyst are a plus.
Intern responsibilities will include:
Undergraduate students, graduate students, and recent college graduates are encouraged to apply. This is an unpaid internship for the Spring 2013 semester. Hours are negotiable, but you should be available at least 10 hours a week.
- Pulling social media analytics and helping assemble reports and evaluating strategies.
- Uploading videos to YouTube and applying strategic text and tags.
- Assisting in live tweeting events.
- Helping cover social media feeds including Twitter, Facebook, and Google+.
- Assisting on social media research and any strategy projects as necessary.
