The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN)is seekingan experienced Social Media Manager to oversee CBN’s Social Media Strategy across all internal brands and platforms, managing CBN.com’s Online Community, as well as overseeing New Media Distribution. This role coordinates with Direct Marketing, Major Donors, CBN.com Producers and Developers, Marketing, Legal, and Television Producers to support the CBN’s mission. The position involves ensuring our social media and digital broadcasting is fully integrated with all other efforts across CBN’s portfolio.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications :
Proficient in emerging social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Google +, LinkedIn, WordPress, HootSuite, and YouTube.
Working knowledge of industry best practices in web design, SEO, information design/architecture, usability and accessibility.
Proficient with Google analytics, Omniture analytics and social listening tools such as HootSuite and Google alerts.
Experience with media production especially online media.
Experience with delivering rich media and social networking functionality—blogs, forums, podcasts, video-on-demand.
Working knowledge in the fields of journalism and feature reporting.
Excellent English, literary, editorial and creative writing skills.
Ability to research and pursue various avenues of information gathering.
Ability to interact effectively with CBN staff and outside public.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as member of a team.
Ability to work in multi-functional teams—content creation, design, and technical—to deliver online user experiences.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to work some nights and weekends
