Hulu is seeking a Social Media Manager -- a big-idea generator who knows the ins-and-outs of social media - someone who lives and breathes everything from Facebook to GetGlue (and Hulu, too!) with a solid grasp on social networking sites and applications: blogs, networks, wikis/collaborative software, online forums and podcasts. A true social media expert who has achieved business results.
As part of the marketing and distribution team at Hulu this person will be responsible for increasing Hulu viewership and usage, and acquiring Hulu Plus subscribers through various social channels. This person will work with partners internally and externally to formulate customer acquisition and engagement strategies, implement them, and identify and assess new Social Media opportunities and channels. They will be responsible for managing the logistics of social media campaigns, content development, delivery of assets, directly contributing, monitoring and measuring social media usage/results, and creating reports.
Create and execute social media strategies for integrated content marketing, customer acquisition, and brand campaigns
Work closely with internal teams (e.g., PR/communications, content acquisition, content partner management, product, etc.) to ensure messaging is consistent with Hulu brand
Build Facebook, Twitter and other social media profiles, including content sourcing and creation, status updates, promotional planning, etc.
Expand social media presence into emerging platforms and digital destinations
Acquire, gather and manage logistics of all campaign materials as needed for social media campaigns
Actively analyze and optimize social media and/or promotional campaign performance
Create weekly analytic and recap reports. Monitor campaign performance using sites like Tweet Reach, Hashtag, Radian6, Bit.ly and others
Desired Skills & Experience
BA/BS degree required
3+ years of relevant experience
Proficient in all things Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Get Glue, Foursquare, Youtube, online outreach and partnership marketing)
Proven track record of building and leveraging good working and industry relationships
Has established presence in Social & Digital Media worlds
Solid understanding of influencer engagement and blogger outreach (prior experience as a community manager or other relevant social media initiatives)
Experience using social analytic reporting tools that include hootsuite and Google Analytics a must
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Innovative, proactive, passionate, and self-directed
Superior writing organization, grammar, communication, and presentation skills
Exercise good judgment, flexibility, resourcefulness and strong organizational/time management skills
Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and remain calm under pressure
Strong drive and ownership mindset; Must be solutions oriented, innovative, and willing to explore and invent new ideas
