The Social Media Manager is responsible for the creation of content marketing and social media programs that support and promote the WhiteHat Security. This person will report to the PR Director and will work with the agency team to promote news on relevant social media channels, as well as optimize content, including website copy, articles, microsites, webinars, videos, whitepapers, guest posts, and case studies that drive new lead acquisition and fuel nurture campaigns. This role is a tremendous opportunity for an ambitious, self-starter that understands how the cross section between “old media” and “new media” and how to leverage content and assents across multiple campaigns and platforms.
Manage day-to-day social media activities, including providing relevant content, managing posts and monitoring and initiating conversations
Define, execute and develop metrics for measuring social media strategy and tactics effectiveness/impact
Utilize social media tools and techniques to identify influencers, listening, tracking and engaging.
Assist with the management of the blog and other social channels by producing optimized content to drive interaction, engagement and conversion.
Work with PR Director and agency team to leverage social media content for Facebook, Linkedin, YouTube, Twitter, and other social media channels with a focus on driving interaction, virality and sharability.
Identify and engage with key influencers to produce guest blogs, develop co-marketing campaigns and other forms of collaborative content.
Required Skills / Requirements:
Experienced writer capable of producing highly effective content quickly with little direction
Proficiency in basic HTML, Google Analytics, Radian6 and/or NetBase as well as Content Management Systems.
In-depth knowledge of social media tools and their uses in business
Active participation in social media sites (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc)
Video/photo editing and proficiency with Photoshop a plus.
Must be creative with outstanding written communication skills, problem solving and analytical abilities
Must be adaptive, personable and willing to work outside the defined scope to produce results
Strong communication and project management skills are required.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications or equivalent experience
5-7 years experience in a content production social media or digital marketing, preferably in a corporate or agency environment
