Job Description The Social Marketing Manager will lead our social marketing efforts, including blogging and our presence on the major social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, YouTube and more). The successful candidate must combine a thorough understanding of the core social media platforms, a deeply analytical approach to maximizing the returns on our social marketing efforts, great communication and content skills, and an innate gregariousness required to 'succeed at social.'

Scope of Responsibilities
  • Holistically manage and grow social engagement – on third party platforms and with members who have used their social credentials on
  • Use content, social ad units and expanding social reach to drive new member acquisition and ongoing member shopping
  • Posting to major social outlets and using a number of tools and techniques, including advertising and sponsored posts, to build our audience
  • Blogging: daily blogging with a focus on building a larger, more engaged blog audience
  • Working with our merchants to develop contests and product promotions to drive audience growth and engagement
  • Analyze, analyze, analyze: Constantly sift through an ocean of data looking for anomalies, break points and opportunities
  • Contribute to broader content and marketing efforts at Ebates

  • 4+ years of social marketing experience, including a track record of cost-effectively growing audience and engagement
  • Black-belt knowledge of social CRM tools and best-practices
  • Experience and knowledge in consumer e-commerce highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of Wordpress
  • Familiarity with web analytics and basic html
Strong academic record from a top college or university
