Great Opportunity for a Facilities Director (posted July 23, 2013) in Eagle Pass, Texas. Gaming Hospitality Executive has been retained to assist a company identify a candidate with experience in overseeing and coordinating the preparation of project budgets commencing with rough or conceptual estimates through with project completion.
Job description for the position of Facilities Director is as follows:
Responsible for performing all functions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as established policies, procedures, and controls.
Responsible for maintaining and communicating budget, cost estimates and cost-to-complete information in a complete and timely fashion to all team members and other constituencies throughout the duration of a project.
Responsible for making specific recommendations to the about suggested changes and improvements in departmental controls and procedures for the overall benefit and improvement of all department projects.
Responsible for seeking and obtaining in writing such approvals and commitments as required to assure agreement and/or understanding from key constituencies.
Responsible for identifying, communicating and coordinating key relationships for which written agreements will be required and incorporates sufficient time into project schedules to allow for preparation, negotiation and execution of contracts.
Responsible for monitoring and reporting to the General Manager, and Asst. General Manager on contract status and red flags' or any delays or variances from timely and accurate document negotiation and execution.
Responsible for maintaining responsibility for attracting, assembling, organizing and managing, external and internal resources to the highest standards of excellence.
Responsible for maintaining overall responsibility for assuring that budget, project scope, project quality and schedule remain in alignment with departmental objectives and overall business needs.
Responsible for Identifying, communicating and coordinating key relationships for which written agreements will be required and incorporates sufficient time into project schedules to allow for preparation, negotiation and execution of contracts.
Responsible for ensuring all employees within areas of responsibility receive fair and equitable treatment with regard to respective terms and conditions of employment.
Responsible for providing support and leadership direction to the individuals directly reporting to this position in accordance with the organizational chart.
Responsible for facilitating the flow of information throughout Facilities Department, by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled meetings with the members of leadership team.
Responsible for maintaining strong technical skills in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
Responsible for making sure all safety policies are followed.
The following qualifications are required for the Facilities Manager position:
Engineering Degree and or/equivalence with Facilities Management experience.
Must have three-five (3-5) years of project management experience.
Must also have three to five (3-5) years Supervisory/Management experience.
