Job Summary:
As a Social Media and Communities Strategist, you will work on a team responsible for the global strategy and planning of social media and community programs that include blogging, community development and management, listening, and social network channels such as Facebook, Twitter, and Linked In, etc.
This position will help build and maintain strong support infrastructures; identify and test growth opportunities and channels; manage reporting and analysis; and work to expand the impact and reach of the brands in the social space. This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of multiple social campaigns including managing assets across multiple social networks and extracting actionable insights from social monitoring data.
Essential Functions:
Create and execute social media plays for company launches
Manage day-to-day activities of social media channels and maintain detailed tracking documents
Create weekly and monthly reports on client social activities
Conversational draft of and work with technical team on necessary edits of copy for all social channels
Assist with developing social media brand strategy
Work with team to integrate social planning and testing of strategies and planning, linking and connecting business objectives with executional excellence and metrics.
Keep apprised of all relevant industry and market developments
Provide strategic direction for internal stakeholders on social integration and best practices.

o The tasks this individual is responsible for are often non-routine and unstructured, requiring creative solutions.
o This individual will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving routine to moderately complex problems.
Interaction:
o This individual must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees within the function, and the technical team on assigned projects. There may be communication with employees in other functions as required.
o Limited management direction is provided to employee on new projects or assignments as well as review of activities and priorities.
o The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert on team projects.
o To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through coaching and influencing others.
Requirements:
Strong previous experience in online/social media marketing (1-2 years preferable in a high tech environment)
Proficient with online social networking tools Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and blogs.
Experience w/ global strategy and planning of social media and community programs
Experience in managing the day-to-day activities of multiple social campaigns including managing assets across multiple social networks.
Min 2 years experience creating and executing social media campaigns for company launches
Prior experience in managing day-to-day activities of social media channels and maintain detailed tracking documents
Prior experience creating weekly and monthly reports on client social activities
Prior experience with conversational drafts and edits of copy for all social channels
Prior experience with social planning and the testing out of strategies.
Good verbal and written communications skills.
Efficient problem solver with excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Extremely organized and a self-started
Enjoys working in a fast pace, collaborative team environment
Education & Experience:
A Bachelor of Arts of Science Degree is required, or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
