St. Catherine University and the University of St. Thomas are accepting applications for a clinical faculty position in Social Work.
The clinical faculty position is a 9-month faculty position with primary responsibility to our graduate field education program.
The clinical faculty will serve as a liaison between the School of Social Work and fieldwork agencies, supervising students’ educational focus in field and teaching at the MSW level in the generalist practice curriculum; advising; committee assignments; professional development activities; community service; and other duties as assigned.
The BSW program has been accredited since 1974 and the MSW program has been accredited since 1990. The BSW Program offers day and weekend options. The MSW Program offers evening and weekend cohort options. This is a thriving school with approximately 615 students and is well respected in the practice community. It offers innovative programs that strive to meet community needs. In March 2012, US News and World Report ranked the School in the top 25% of all schools of social work nationally. The vibrant and ethnically diverse cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul are well known for their cultural and social amenities and have been consistently named one of the most livable metropolitan areas in the US.

Qualifications for Clinical Faculty: Minimum of two years social work practice experience post MSW required. Professional social work license eligibility required. LISW or LICSW preferred. Required skill in group facilitation, verbal and written communication and strength in generalist social work practice. Field and classroom teaching experience in an accredited social work program preferred.
