Provides assessment and counseling to families who have a child, between the ages of 0-3, with a developmental disability and are currently receiving services through the Early Intervention Program.
- Conducts assessments for clients referred through Early Intervention Service Coordinators.
- Provides home-based counseling services to individuals, couples, families depending on client need that reflect sensitivity to the impact of a disability on the family.
- Provides group support to families around issues of grief and loss and impact of a disability on family functioning.
- Maintains ongoing collaborative relationships with program referral sources.
Master’s degree in Social Work or comparable degree from an accredited school of social work is required. The qualified candidate will have completed an internship through accredited graduate school. This position requires the selected candidate to have a valid New York state driver's license with a driving record that is acceptable in compliance with Agency guidelines and reliable transportation required .
