DESCRIPTION

Summary

The Soft Count Representative shall open, count, and verify the drop from casino slot machines, kiosks, poker and table games. The representative shall use specialized software to scan, validate, and report the drop to the Auditing Department.

**The employee must frequently lift up to 50 pounds and transport up to 300 pounds.

DUTIES

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest quality customer service to all casino guests, employees, departments and vendors.
  • Adhere to all Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission Internal Control Standards, and Soboba Casino Policies and Procedures.
  • Unload carts from slot drop; open and count one box at a time.
  • Sort, count, and image EZ pay vouchers using New Wave software.
  • Complete Drop Utility Report and submit to Auditing Department.
  • Sort pay slips, coupons and currency from table games drop.
  • Fill bill validator stackers, bundle, strap, and gather grand total.
  • Balance to CTA report, upload to software and submit to Auditing Department.
  • Open Kiosk drop, and feed into currency counter.
  • Open Poker drop; count currency and chips.
  • Complete Master Gaming Report, and submit to Auditing Department.
  • Shred Scanned Tickets.
  • Stock count room supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Certificates, licenses and registration

  • Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license
  • Negative results on all drug and alcohol tests
Education and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Advanced computer skills, and an ability to master new software quickly
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in order to promote a positive and professional image
Any education beyond the minimum requirement, as well as any experience and training that provide the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary, shall be considered.

Work Environment

  • Moderate to loud noise levels
  • Exposure to second hand smoke
