Shutterstock is looking to hire a Software Application and Development Manager to lead the Information Systems Team’s dev efforts. The manager will be working on a team tasked with providing the application development and support for internal facing business functions. Projects will center around the business systems, movement and synchronization of data between systems. These business systems include our internal database, Salesforce’s sales and service cloud, Great Plains, as well as other back office tools.
A successful candidate will be comfortable in SQL as this job is intimately interwoven with the database. We are looking for an experienced manager who will be managing a pair of senior developers. The team oversees such critical internal systems as invoicing, data synchronization with Salesforce.com, Customization of salesforce via Visual Force, as well as our internal .NET portal. The candidate should be comfortable implementing larger projects, as well as with building software.
We will make sure that you have all the tools necessary to produce amazing code and make an impact in the organization. You will frequently be working with members of the executive team in this high exposure position and should be comfortable partnering with business owners.
What You’ll Do:
Manage a Salesforce.com installation; and develop code against the Salesforce.com APIs and eventually Force.com to move internal apps into the cloud.
Manage internal tools such as scripts, real-time services, the general ledger (Great Plains), as well as things such as tax filings and other line of business tools.
Manage requests for new business applications and enhancements to existing applications and systems, validate and prioritize based on company established business initiatives.
Build out a team, including the potential for remote/offshore employees and provide mentorship for those developers.
Must understand end to end business process, look at things holistically, have the ability to make decisions on buy, build or customize.
Provide thought leadership on future opportunities to pursue.

The Tools You Should Bring:
5-7 Years of experience with OOP, including at least 2-3 years experience managing
Many of our backend systems are in the Microsoft stack. You should be comfortable with C# as a language as well web services and integration patterns.
Salesforce.com experience is a big plus
Comfort writing ASP.NET Web pages
Basic comfort working with numbers in Excel
A Computer Science degree
