Full-time Software Architect wanted. The web technical architect is a critical role in the company. This position will be the bridge between product and software engineering to help define product requirements and provide guidance for high-level design decisions. In the complex world of digital advertising technology all the intricacies of various players and the way their technologies work together is important for our technology to properly & easily integrate into the ecosystem. The ideal candidate should be well rounded, self-motivated, and continuously looking to learn new frameworks, technologies & the latest web architectures. This role may involve occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Work with engineering & product leads to define product requirements
  • Translate business requirements into practical solutions
  • Communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale
  • Identify areas of common functionality to leverage existing or overlapping components
  • Identify and scope areas eligible for integrating existing products to provide functionality
  • Make high level design decisions regarding how features will eventually be used
  • Work with QA to develop pass conditions and test plans
  • Consult with operations teams on proper usage of tools and configurations
  • Facilitate complex & custom client integrations
  • Improve application’s usability & performance
  • Improve device recognition accuracy and longevity
Required Qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of software design and development experience
  • 3+ years’ experience as software architect or tech lead
  • Expert knowledge of one or more programming languages: C++, .Net, java, PHP.
  • Expert knowledge of design patterns and best practices
  • Expert knowledge building cloud based web applications
  • Expert knowledge of REST style web services
  • Familiar with iOS and Android mobile development
  • Familiar with HTML, HTTP, JavaScript, CSS, DOM, Cookies, XML, etc.
  • Strong debugging and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills
  • Intimate understanding of online advertising technologies (e.g. DSP, SSP,
DMP, Exchanges, etc.)

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or related fields
  • Experience with AWS stack(S3, EC2, EMR, Pig, Cloudfront)
  • Experience with NoSQL (Cassandra, DynamoDB, CouchDB, Riak, etc.)
