Starkey Hearing Technologies is seeking an entry level Software Configuration Manager / Release Engineer to join
the Firmware Engineering Department for a full time position at our corporate headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN. The
Firmware Engineering Department at Starkey Hearing Technologies is responsible for architecting, developing, and
verifying firmware for DSPs and Microcontrollers that define the core functionalities for our advanced hearing aids.
Requirements Overall responsibilities:
The engineer is responsible for maintenance of development software tools such as version control, issues tracking, and code review software. The engineer will also devise engineering approaches through creating software applications and configuring of software tools to facilitate the implementation of the development processes within the Firmware Engineering department. These processes and their efficient implementation is critical to the success of the Firmware Engineering department and the organization as a whole. The engineer is also responsible for the effective release of firmware or tools artifacts to the organization.
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields with 0-3 years of experience.
Required Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Relevant intern/co-op experience
- Experience with at least one programming language, preferably Python, C, C++, or JAVA
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
