Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Software Delivery Application Development and Technical Support Analyst located in Houston, TX through January 6, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

Position Details:
As a member of the Software Delivery Team, you'll be providing application development and business analysis support for system products that manages Chevron's desktop and server environment on a global scale. The Software Delivery Development Analyst will work with design and operations teams to define, design, document, and implement software delivery solutions. This person will need to be a quick learner and a self starter who is willing to jump in and start learning about the applications on their own after a short training period.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Work with IT Design teams to define, design, document, support, and implement business processes and solutions to assist in software delivery and systems management.
  • Create business and functional specifications for global systems managing Chevron's GIL desktop and server assets.
  • Provide operational and business analysis support to the GIL system applications.
  • Analyze, prioritize, and troubleshoot production support issues.
  • Participate in application and data quality user testing, including test plan and test script development, execution and defect tracking.
  • Coordinates Change Acceptance Testing with the global community.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with writing business requirements, process flows, functional and technical specifications, test scripts, and end user documentation.
  • Proficient with C#, .Net, WMI, VB and PowerShell scripting.
  • Strong data analysis skills; experience with writing SQL queries in Oracle and SQL Server to retrieve data for analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Experience working with customers and developers to troubleshoot applications.
  • Proactive, positive attitude team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enjoys multi-tasking and working as a liaison between various cross-functional teams and the IT organization.
  • Strong written and oral skills.
  • Strong customer-centric orientation.
  • Builds and maintains good relationships with customers.
  • Ability to effectively plan, schedule, and manage work activities to deliver operationally excellent, reliable, and cost effective solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems is preferred or equivalent experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable on the Application Development Lifecycle.
  • Business Analysis training or equivalent experience.
