Provide information system solutions to internal departments and external customers and partners. Responsibilities include analyzing requirements, understanding business processes and needs, and recommending solutions to achieve the business goals. Solutions will include implementation and integration of purchased applications and development of applications and integrations where appropriate. Projects are completed with cross-functional teams of IT peers and business partners. Manage time and expectations to ensure a high degree of stakeholder and user satisfaction.

Design and develop SQL-driven applications on the .Net platform. Add or extend Dynamo case management system functionality, including features competitive in the healthcare industry. Design new workflows. Develop new graphical features. Maintain, support and improve existing applications and streamline work processes. Provide day-to-day support and tuning of all queries, workflows, reports, and external SSIS interfaces. Support the user community with team discussion and analysis of requirements, provide solution recommendations and mockups, and develop solutions.


  • Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems. Develop and configure mission-critical applications and/or web portals. Assess user requirements and provide input to departments. Liaise with other IT staff to improve system efficiency, security, and functionality.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve potential and evident system problems. Provide troubleshooting support to other staff.
  • Design and apply new methods and procedures. Develop and test systems, programs, and database structure for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare systems specifications, project plans, and other internal documents. Ensure users and partners understand nature of work being performed, as well as timeframes and milestones. Provide regular status updates to supervisors and stakeholders.
  • Train users in technical aspects of systems.
  • Participate in selection and recommendation of suppliers and vendors. Assist in management of those relationships.
  • Balance high-priority work with lower priority maintenance work to ensure both success of projects and smooth operation of existing functions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for system and process improvement. Work with management and stakeholders to prioritize and implement solutions accordingly.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities.
  • Relationships: Interact with all departments and various business partners, including customers, contractors, and other vendors. Maintain professional, service-oriented relationships with all stakeholders. Act as a liaison with other departments, sites, and organizations.


    Work Experience: Minimum of three years of web development and systems development and analysis in a business environment. C#, ASP.NET, and SQL are required. Health insurance industry and claims or billing systems experience preferred.

    Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communications skills required for working with users and vendors.

    Mathematical Skills: Requires math skills, including percentages, ratios, statistics, graphing and spreadsheet skills.

    Reasoning Ability : Requires ability to define and prioritize problems and manage workload without direct supervision.

    Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registration: BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of upper-level education and work experience.

    Technical Experience:

    MS SQL Server, Visual Studio, C#, HTML, XML. Microsoft .NET framework, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, XSL, CSS, VBScript, Transact-SQL, General SQL Server usage, graphic design tools (such as, Adobe Photoshop), IIS administration and installation, Active Directory, DNS, and SSL. and collaboration software, Web Content Management (CMS), Portal/Portlet/Webpart technology, Web Services, XSD, XSLT, AJAX, SOAP, Source Code management and application development lifecycle (such as TFS), Design Patterns, Microsoft Visio. Software development methodologies and software lifecycle management. Strong debugging skills. Ability to learn new concepts and languages quickly. Ability to work in a team as well as independently.

    Additional desired experience:

    Prefer experience with technical integration and implementation, database administration, project management experience. Develop SSIS data transformations.


    Work inside in a general office setting with ergonomically configured equipment. Limited travel to offsite locations, including sales office.

    Mental / Physical Requirements

    Ability to do exacting, accurate work under time pressure. Must be able to use a manual keyboard and to read system / applications information from users’ standard computer monitors.
