Software Developer

Want to slay the beast of healthcare? Our software developers do...

The chaos of the healthcare system results in millions of dollars lost and innumerable patient safety concerns. Our goal is to bring order to that chaos by harnessing the power of the cloud to modernize healthcare. We are advancing an industry whose technology is 20 – 30 years old and we need your help to do it!

How do you slay this beast, you ask? Come develop easy to use, ultra powerful, cloud based tools which allow medical professionals to focus on what they do best – treat patients.

In terms of the technology platform—you name it, we’re using it but what does it matter anyway? We believe any developers worth their salt can pick new stuff up in a matter of months. We're more interested in folks with raw talent and a burning desire to succeed. The types of problems you might work on are wide-ranging—from core performance tuning and optimizing paper-based processes using OCR to writing AJAX widgets with complicated functionality in an easy to use interface.

The development team is a dynamic, energetic, and collaborative group that thrives in athena’s open working environment. Your future teammates are intellectual, top-notch performers faced with exciting challenges, but what developer isn’t? Developers come here because of the tremendous opportunity to learn and grow with a socially responsible company focused on changing healthcare at a fundamental level.

The only real technical requirement for applying is being able to make a computer do what you want it to do. Can you slay the beast? We dare you to try!
