Building high quality software is more than a skill - its a passion. Every scrum team needs at least one quality advocate. Over time this advocate will influence the rest of the team to be advocates as well, making each scrum team a center of excellence. You will be able to apply your years of experience in strong software engineering techniques to raise the bar and keep the quality bar high.
Identify the quality tasks that should be added to the sprint backlog for each story.
Design, build, and extend the tool set and test cases that relate specifically to the scrum team
Participate in the scrum as a member of the team.
Disseminate quality best practices to the team.
Represent the scrum team in cross-company quality initiatives
Passion for building high quality / low risk software
Passion for engineering process improvement
Ability to drive and influence best practices amongst your peers.
BS/MS or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent
5+ years of software development experience -- experience in test automation a plus
Experience with test automation tools. Familiarity with Watir, Selenium, or Eggplant a plus
Excellent issue isolation, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
