Fuzebox is a mobile first company, disrupting the audio and video conferencing marketplace by giving users a stunning experience on smartphones and tablets. As a client engineer you will be responsible for providing a rich and immersive user experience via a featureful Android application.

WHAT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE

Focus on graphics and user interface programming
Communicate technical subjects to a wide variety of audiences
Write code in Java Android SDK/NDK
Work in a scrum framework to deliver at high velocity
Fix software issues and code irregularities
Perform code maintenance, testing, and analysis
Correspond with team leaders or business stakeholders
Work with quality assurance teams
Work with a talented design team to discuss and implement design concepts
Perform code reviews
Complete project assignments

WHAT YOU NEED

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) and 5+ years experience
Solid understanding of Android application development process
Proficiency in Android Developer Tools
Solid understanding of data models and networking
Familiarity with OpenGL ES is a plus
Having applications posted on the google play store is a plus
In-depth understanding of object oriented concepts and software design patterns
Extensive experience in graphics and user interface programming
Extensive experience in multithreading and communication
Good at communicating technical subjects to a wide variety of audiences
Creative, flexible, and quick to learn
Have strong systematic skills
Be able to meet project deadlines
Be able to work on own initiative and be focused
Experience with using version control repositories such as CVS/Subversion and Git
Work with teams

A SAMPLE OF WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO

In 3 months, you will have:
Integrated well in a team of 3 Android developers
Understood completely the technical architecture of Fuzebox service as it exists
Developed features using the TDD methodology
Understood completely the design concepts of the existing Android application
Written automated tests all features you implemented
Taken ownership of 3-4 application components

In 6 months, you will have:
Successfully delivered to customers multiple releases
Located and refactored problematic areas in the code base

In 12 months, you will have:
Worked on the design and prototyped our next gen features.
