Interactive Intelligence, TechPoint’s Tech Company of the Year, is seeking an experienced Software Engineer for its Communication as a Service (CaaS) group. The goal of CaaS is to scope, engineer, and deliver high quality solutions for Cloud services customers in a timely manner. The CaaS group works with customers to understand business needs and provide solutions within the Cloud services model. CaaS has become an integral part of Interactive Intelligence’s growth strategy and is helping the company’s revenues “soar into the Clouds”.
This role is tasked with implementing systems and features that enhance our customer’s experience with our hosted contact center offering and has the following responsibilities:
Design, implement and maintain a self-service customer interface
Work with CaaS and other stakeholders to define requirements and analyze business needs
Improve throughput of incident processing to ensure customer SLAs are met or exceeded
Evaluate technology products, frameworks, units, and/or packages for implementation viability
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of related experience; or 2 years’ experience and a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience.
Solid understanding of object oriented programming principles and broad knowledge of the C# language and .NET framework.
Strong knowledge of both foundational and modern web technologies like HTTP, HTML5, css/sass/less, knockout.js, require.js, etc.
Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL (document) databases such as MongoDB.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to actively listen and learn.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as work independently.
Ability to take initiative and be proactive.
Complex problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner as well as communicate clearly both written and verbally.
Experience with Mono, ServiceStack, OWIN, and SignalR preferred
Experience with Amazon Web Services preferred
Experience with Linux and bash scripting preferred
