As an entry level Software Engineer you will be an integral part of a team that provides ongoing support and development for one or more product lines. A software engineer works directly with the designated team lead to ensure that all the work is done according to specified project plans.
Develops new systems, subsystems, and enhancements from initial detailed direction with guidance.
Develops modifications and patches to existing systems with guidance.
Develops code following industry and corporate standards.
Develop appropriate engineering test artifacts as appropriate (test plans, unit test, integration tests / system tests) to cover newly developed code.
Assist in the integration testing with other developers and other development teams.
Work with SQE team to help them develop appropriate test plans.
Fully document changes made to the application to ISO and department stand ards.
Ability to solve software defect issues.
Participate in all aspects of product development as required by the team lead.
Continually update technical knowledge and skills through self-study and training courses
Required Knowledge and Skills:
B.S. d egree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or Physical Sciences
Experience with GUI and event-driven Programming
Experience with multi-thread programming in Win32 or .NET
Experience with Visual Studio or Team Foundation Server
Ability to w rite clear, concise code that can be maintained by others
Firm understanding of software development lifecycle
Excellent design and analysis skills
Strong knowledge of device control via Serial interface or Ethernet a plus
Strong knowledge of OOD/OOP using C# or C++ a plus
Strong knowledge of database (SQL) technologies a plus
Highly motivated self-starter
Strong teamwork and leadership skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
