We are looking for very talented and customer focused individuals to join our small team of software professionals. You will be responsible for implementing highly scalable, 24X7 available, critical transaction based SaaS solutions serving over 1 million Intuit payroll customers. Our service oriented architecture (SOA) platforms will provide a variety of important services for multiple Intuit offerings.
Use your Java and Oracle skills and deep customer empathy to deliver service based platforms that solve complex customer problems at huge scale. You will utilize proven design patterns that leverage our state of the art model driven architecture, code generation tools, integrated automated testing, integrated continuous builds, and automated deployment functionality for your project deliverables.
Day to day, you will
•Always keep the customer at the forefront of your mind
•Collaborate with team members within Agile SDLC to implement software artifacts
•Provide thoughtful estimates for all assigned SDLC tasks
•Develop and maintain well defined API's that meet client's needs
•Implement highly scalable, maintainable SOA solutions with high quality
•Participate in peer design and code reviews
•Create and utilize automated unit tests to ensure quality of code
•BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
•2+ years experience developing robust, OLTP applications with very high availability & performance and scalability requirements
•Proficient in object oriented languages such as C# or Java
•Advanced SQL experience utilizing relational databases such as Oracle or SqlServer
•Experience with ORM technologies such as Hibernate or Toplink
•Experience in developing n-tier enterprise applications
•Practical knowledge of Agile Software Development Lifecycle
•Experience with exposing APIs to the outside world through web services (JAX-WS)
•Experience with automated unit test such as JUnit
•Experience with application servers such as JBoss, Glassfish, Tomcat
•Experience with Linux - ability to navigate and execute basic commands
•Passion for solving customer problems by "walking in customer's shoes"
•Ability to establish priorities and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
•Understanding of object and data modeling principles
•Understands SaaS and SOA
•Knowledge of the payroll industry, including payroll application experience
•Experience in developing back office banking applications, i.e., ACH
•Experience in developing redundant, highly available systems
