Position: Software Engineer
L ocation : Louisville, KY
Duration : 6-12 month contract (option to renew/extend)
Start Date : within 2 weeks of final interview
Pay Rate: $45-55/hr
Job Description: Our client in the Louisville, KY area (East End) is seeking a Software Engineer to join their fast-paced business team. You will working directly with the development and management team to complete business objectives as they arise. You will be responsible for maintaining their web presence and current systems in the manufacturing community.
Responsibilities: You will be expected to maintain code, troubleshoot and update current code, set up users, work directly with business partners to evaluate changes to current applications, and implement effective solutions for business needs. You will work with Business Analysts and current developers on system analysis, specifications, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and installing/modifying existing systems. Must portray design competency, develop code from detailed specifications, and execute change requests. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize, while focusing on project timelines. Must be a self-starter, with the ability to complete a project autonomously. Must be able to maintain technical and user documentation for custom programs and systems. Create detailed test plans, and execute unit test plans. Must be able to create test data suites, and establish adequate test environments.
You will be expected to participate and contribute to project-planning sessions to analyze requirements and provide design recommendations for complex systems. You must be able to implement project methodologies, and act as technical coordinator for projects of medium to large scope.
