"The FICO Model Builder team is a major part of the Decision Management Tools organization, providing the base platform for internal modeling and innovation, as well as delivering best of breed analytic tools to the external market. Our team is responsible for working with Product Management to design, develop, test and document Model Builder 7. We also provide a final level of support for both internal and external customers." -- by Software Engineering Director

In this position you will work on the design and development of FICO Model Builder 7, Fair Isaac’s premier platform for developing world class analytics. You will be responsible for helping to define and implementing key user interface components and infrastructure of this central tool in the Decision Management tools suite.

Experience/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or related discipline.

Coursework in a quantitative field such as statistical computing, operations research, or applied mathematics is highly desired

Experienced Software Developer with 5+ years of professional development experience in Java.
The candidate must have excellent design, programming, and problem solving skills and be an expert in Java, and related tools and frameworks.
Experience developing server side Java code and API's is essential. Experience with analytical programming techniques, advanced statistical, machine learning and data mining techniques are desired.

Required Experience:
Strong experience in Java development
Strong debugging, and performance tuning skills
Proficiency in developing layered architectures, and abstract interfaces.
Experience developing for Eclipse and / or other OSGi based environment
Experience with reporting tools

Other Experience:
Awareness of software development lifecycle processes and Agile development methodology.
Familiarity with Hadoop, map/reduce and other big data concepts
Familiarity with analytical software like R, SAS, SPSS or MatLab
Experience in scripting languages such as Groovy, Scala or Ruby
Experience in a quantitative field such as statistical computing, operations research, or applied mathematics
