Responsibilities:
Work closely with UX designers and front-end engineers to launch a next-generation media entertainment experience
Integrate with video-centric and/or social media websites
Design, implement and launch highly-visible, user-facing features.
Design back-end infrastructure to support a scalable, video-centric web application.
Develop new ways for users to find interesting video content.
Design and develop large scale web applications using Python with Flask, MongoDB, and Django
Required Qualifications:
BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field. In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience.
8-10 years’ experience in launching consumer facing web applications, at least two years’ experience with Python
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in at least one object oriented language (C++ or Java).
Experience in JavaScript and Actionscript development.
Experience with NoSQL databases
Experience in distributed computing, information retrieval, data mining, and machine learning.
