Cray is looking for a Customer Service Software Product Support Analyst for the support of system networks and I/O systems networked in a multi system environment which includes cluster-like front end computing, the new Cray integrated storage system, and external login and system access environments.
A major focus of this position will be troubleshooting and analyzing problems. The position will involve work in multiple and related areas such as I/O hardware, I/O configurations, system interconnectivity, etc.
Job duties include: supporting escalated customer sites, processing/tracking/resolving problem reports, problem analysis and troubleshooting, providing service information to field analysts and customers, recommending fixes to development, and possibly writing and implementing proposed fixes
Bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience. Applicants must have over 3 yrs of experience in troubleshooting large Linux based systems or large-scale computer systems integration and support. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Must be able to deal with customers effectively. Must be willing to assume responsibility for seeing tasks through to successful completion, and bridging to related areas of concentration.
This position will be expected to work closely with Hardware and Software personnel. Candidates must demonstrate self-motivation, be able to interface well, and coordinate efforts with other groups, including: customers, field personnel, hardware product support, software development, and third party product personnel.
After hours support work, on-call and travel will be required. This position could be located in St. Paul or remotely.
