CashCall, Inc., a growing lending company in Anaheim, is currently seeking Software Quality Assurance Analyst for junior to mid-level positions. The position will be responsible for verification and validation of software developed and implemented by the Development team. Ideal candidates will be innovative, self-motivated, a quick study, and willing to develop new skills while constantly improving existing abilities.

This person must be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be able to work on a variety of projects such as web, e-commerce, intranet, and Windows-based applications, in Microsoft.NET and Java technologies.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, test scenarios, and other test documentations

Develop and maintain automated functional and regression test scripts using Mercury QuickTest Professional

Accurately report and manage defects

Actively participate in quality assurance process improvement

Execute functional, regression, and various other types of testing as appropriate

Work closely with Development and Business teams to test applications and assist in providing direction for defect fixes and systems enhancements

Gain a firm understanding of business rules and new features being implemented

Estimate test effort and provide updates on remaining work to project team and project management

Requirements:

Knowledge of testing processes, methodologies and understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle is a plus

Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, and C++ is desirable

Knowledge of Apache and JBOSS server is a plus

Experience in writing test scripts/units tests and writing scripts for automated scripting is a plus

Strong attention to details and ability to do multi-tasking

Strong communication and organizational skills

Analytical and problem solving skills with hands-on, “get it done” attitude

Self-Starter, customer service oriented and ability to communicate with business partners

Experience in creating and executing test plans and test cases

Experience with defect tracking tools (i.e. StarTeam)

In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies and best practices

Strong understanding of testing techniques, approaches and strategies

Client/Server and Web/Internet application testing experience

Proficiency working with MS Excel

Must be self-motivated, dependable, trainable and a team player

Attention to detail and able to work independently but within a team environment

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

2+ years of Quality Assurance industry experience

Banking and lending experience is a PLUS

Experience with Quick Test Pro automation tool is a PLUS
