We are seeking a self-motivated individual who will be responsible for three important key roles within the Knowledge Anywhere development team which include configuration/build management, quality assurance and support triage in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Quality Assurance Analyst
• Identify issues in assigned projects during the lifecycle of the project. Plans and executes the resolution of those issues.
• Identifies issues, & recommends revisions and escalates as appropriate
• Providing input on test strategy documents
• Run functional tests, identify defects, enter bugs into tracking system and validate bug fixes
• Formal testing techniques such as regression, integration, load, usability, etc.
• Perform integration, functionality, system, regression, load and acceptance testing using manual methods and testing tools
• Act as QA representative on project teams
• Develop test plans and test cases
• Generate QA testing estimates
• Verify that project documentation is sufficiently detailed to support development of QA materials
• Preparation of formal test plans, test cases and bug reporting
• Understanding of the technical architecture used by the organization
Configuration Management Coordinator
• Responsible for ensuring the management of deployment of both software and data to the organization’s development, stage, and production environments
• Work with project teams to define the content of software packages to be deployed, implement software systems that automate deployment and verify system configuration, and manage the routine deployment of software and data
• Packaging builds for release, ensuring appropriate project documentation is available for each new build or release, and supporting a continuous integration environment.
• Develop scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms and execution as well as integrate deployment processes with automated testing procedures
• Prepare and maintain release of configuration documentation and maintain documents in Google Docs. Coordinate with software engineers to identify configuration items. Conduct process management, issue tracking, version control and release management.
• The Configuration Manager serves as the tactical and operational leader for Configuration Management functions in all Cloud Services production environments
• Maintain a repository of configuration items for projects and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
• Coordination with project managers of release schedules
Client Support Analyst
• Provides effort for ongoing support and maintenance of existing tools and applications
• Gain knowledge and usability of Crimson products and services, while providing daily Tier 1 support to our member community
• Triage Tier 2 support for Knowledge Anywhere clientele
• Troubleshooting technical and non-technical issues in order to perform root cause analysis, including the ability to identify and implement corrective and preventive measures
• Track status of specific support tasks and projects using issue tracking platform
• Execute ad hoc special projects as needed
Position Requirements
• Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)
• 5+ years of experience in software testing and configuration management role involving web-based applications.
• Ability to work collaboratively with development teams and other members of the QA team to ensure systems are operating correctly
• Experience with source control management systems and build management tools.
• Responsible for planning, version control, identifying approved configurations, and conducting software builds from controlled source code files, managing software build scripts, build management servers, and release documentation
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills to resolve technical problems
• Basic leadership skills and sense of urgency
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Self-motivated, and able to multi-task
• DBA background preferable
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Must physically reside in the Puget Sound area or be willing to relocate, and be willing to work from the Bellevue office
• Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
