Sales engineer is the primary technical resource for the field sales force and proactively drive and manage the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for Rocket U2 products.
Must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.
Must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction.
Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships with existing partners and end users.
Develop and deliver product presentations, demos, and trainings
Create proof of concepts using development skills
Software problem determination
Represent U2 products to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
Convey customer requirements to Product Management teams.
Travel throughout sales territory
Self-motivated with an aptitude for learning new technologies quickly with limited guidance
Strong presentation skills and the ability and willingness to develop PowerPoint presentations
Communicate professionally in written responses to emails, presentations, and reports
Organized and analytical
Software development or sales engineer experience
Bachelors in Software Engineering
Experience and familiarity of all or some of the following:
Understand and explain current Web technologies, such as HTML5, Ajax, REST/SOAP Web services, ODBC, JDBC, ADO.NET, Entity Modeling, SSL, etc.
Develop simple REST or SOAP Web services application
Able to develop a mid-level .NET application (Any: Web, desktop, mobile)
Able to develop a mid-level Java application (Any: Web, desktop, mobile)
Executive dashboards, Business Intelligence tools, Data Warehousing tools
Can build database driven business application
Client/Server, Web, Mobile
Understand and explain NoSQL versus relational databases
Able to create database model in any of the following
SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, MySQL, Any NoSQL, UniVerse, UniData
