Overall Assignment Description:|
Serves as a member of team that:
Functions as the advisor to the Government Technical Point of Contact (POC) and the Program Office
Provide internal Program Office support with assessing contractor software design and development processes and code inspection paradigms, and ensuring enforcement of them.
Assist in providing test, transition, data migration, and baseline change control processes
Participate in technical reviews, program reviews, and milestone reviews
Review developer products and artifacts
Attend and participate in Engineering Review Boards (ERB) and Integrated Product Teams (IPT)
Provide management and technology assessments of contractor solutions and processes
Assess solutions for the unique challenges of deploying capabilities to the Internet.
Ensure standard web service protocols are being utilized to ensure interoperability between the systems.
Assess new web and software technologies (e.g. HTML5) for possible use by the Government.
Review software test plans, test results, and participate in test execution as required.

Excellent oral, written, and electronic communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a team member under tight deadlines with changing priorities
Ability to identify technical issues and communicate impacts to the Government points of contact
Minimum of 5 years of software engineering management
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
10 years of experience with Intelligence Community and/or DoD systems architecture and engineering
Understanding of the NGA Mission and Acquisition Process
Knowledge of legacy systems
Understanding of NGA requirements and engineering process
